About us

MayFilm STUDIO was founded by Meixuan Yi in London, May 2024. MayFilm STUDIO is dedicated to creating a space for imagination and artistic expression, catering to everyone with a passion for the arts. Our work spans across film production, screening events, film festivals, photography, and workshops, with a strong focus on all things related to images/moving images on screen. Whether it's film, video, or visual storytelling, these areas form the core of our creative endeavors. At MayFilm STUDIO, we aim to inspire and support creators in bringing their visions to life.

The Team

Meixuan Yi

Meixuan completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Film Studies at King's College London. With a focus on all things related to moving images, Meixuan hopes to contribute to the growth of Chinese cinema in her own way. Alongside her passion for film, Meixuan is also an avid documentary photographer. Her dream is to retire by the age of 40 and travel the world, capturing every memorable moment along the way.

Ruixin Xuan once thought she would never have anything to do with science, yet she chose to study mechanical engineering. Skilled in drawing and design, she brings creativity to the structured world of engineering. Her dream is to travel the world with Meixuan Yi after retirement, exploring all the wonders life has to offer.
